Good Shepherd offers members young and old several opportunities to make a joyful noise unto the Lord at our 10am Sunday service via a variety of musical groups. Adult Choir: This talented ensemble of volunteer singers enriches our Sunday morning worship experience from September through May. They perform a diverse repertoire of music including sacred works, spirituals and contemporary classics both in church and, occasionally, at interfaith concerts and services. During their singing season, the choir rehearses for about 90 minutes each Wednesday evening beginning at 7:30pm. No experience necessary - just a willingness to learn and have fun. Youth Choir: Good Shepherd's elementary school age children sing approximately once a month as well as on holidays and special occasions. 15-minute rehearsals are conducted every Sunday following 10am church. In addition to practicing planned selections, the children also receive basic music instruction. Children's Bell Choir: Under the direction of Janet Young, this spirited group has been a congregational favorite for several years. Especially appropriate for toddlers and pre-schoolers, members of this unit accompany taped soundtracks of hymn and gospel standards with easy-to-ring, color-coded choral bells. The Children's Bell Choir usually plays on the last Sunday of the month plus holidays. Praise Band: Now in its second decade, our wonderful praise band has become a regular and anticipated fixture on Sundays. When they play, the group opens worship with a high energy, hand-clapping Praise & Worship set of contemporary Christian hits and original compositions written by band members. And the group often joins the Adult Choir on special anthems.
